Locally Made Furniture, Dolls, Signs, Pillows & Paintings

Susie has many local artisans from New England that create
one of kind treasures for her shoppe.

* FRANK & MATT create, build and paint an exclusive line of Primitive Furniture for every room in your home. They craft Jelly Cupboards, Step-Back Hutches, Candle Cupboards, Quilt Cupboards, Harvest Tables, Pantrys, Grandpa's Cupboards, Buffets, Coffee Tables, End Tables, Night Stands, Dry Sinks and much, much more! You can even design your own primitive piece and enjoy it in less than three weeks!

* JOANNE creates and stencils Signs (a few favorites are "Always Kiss Me Goodnight", "Gathering Room", "Live, Laugh, Love", and now TOWN SIGNS with the settled or incorporated dates). When you compare Joanne's signs with other signs that you see – WOW! What a difference. Joanne's signs are so professionally done – it's unbelievable! Our customers absolutely love them! * MARILYN stitches lots of pillows and personalized tea towels. Marilyn has created so many amazing pillows. Just a few examples are unique pillows with pockets that hold crows, pillows that announce a baby's birth or a wedding, and pillows that are stitched with “Always Kiss Me Goodnight.” Her pillows are GREAT! Customers say her tea towels are even better. Have “Jane's Kitchen” or “The Smith's Kitchen” put on a tea towel…custom made pillows or tea towels - what a gift! Click here to see her work!

* LISA is a local artisan that has a natural God-given talent! Lisa designs and paints on barn boards, old cupboard doors, benches, mailboxes and just about anything that one can paint on! Her paintings are primitive, one of a kind and we are learning that it is very difficult deciding on which item you want to take home with you! Click here to see Lisa’s primitive treasures!

* PAULETTE comes from a long line of quilters and seamstresses. There is no surprise that her handbags are so popular! The quality, the look and the practicality of these bags is what makes them stand out above all others. In the winter she adds wool bags to her already incredible line. Wool bags that have mittens, bags that have snowmen – you ask for it – she can make it! Her fabric choices make these bags fit right in with our primitive style. * CARRIE has been part of Susie’s Bittersweet Treasures family for quite a while now. Carrie began helping me by working out in the shoppe during open houses. I quickly discovered that Carrie was very creative when it came to decorating so I engaged her to help me decorate the shoppe for my Christmas open house. Now Carrie is one of our local artisans that add such a wonderfully primitive touch to my shoppe. She does one of a kind lights with battery operated tapers, battery operated tea lights and votives. Carrie scours the state for antique treasures to make these one of a kind lights. To see the unique treasures by Carrie, click here.
